Istria - peninsula in northern Croatia, near the border with Slovenia. Culturally close to Italy as the peninsula was a very long time belongs to the Republic of Venice and later to Italy. At Istria there are also the biggest beaches and nudist camps. This place can be recommended to those who, in addition to sunbathing also like to explore and travel. Recommended is to visit Pula and delusion reminiscent of an amphitheater to the Roman Coliseum. Rovinj and Porec with its beautiful old squares and quarters. From Istria is also close to Trieste and Venice. Near Pula, on the nearby island of Brijuni is a reserve (Brijuni Islands). Istria is dominated by tourists from Austria, Germany and Italy for this reason prices are higher here than in Dalmatia and Kvarner, of course, with the exception of some islands and Dubrovnik where prices can be higher than in Istria. Wine and rakija taste as good as here in Dalmatia;-)
Kvarner - Part located on land, in my opinion, is a bit less popular among tourists. Perhaps the reason is "competition" from the nearby islands of Krk, Rab and Ceres, which attract each other most of the tourist traffic in this area. Of course I do not want to say that nothing is happening there, just seems to me that there are slightly smaller volume of tourist traffic. The main towns of the region are: Rijeka (the third largest city in Croatia), Senj, Ogulin and Gospić. As a place of rest is best to select any of the islands. If you plan frequent trips a good choice is the island of Krk because it connects to the mainland with bridge. In the case of choosing the other islands you have to use ferries. Transfer of Krk bridge during strong winds is amazing :) Recommended!Gulf Kvarner was fashionable holiday destination for wealthy Europeans, there are many historic and elegant hotels, representing the residue after past period. In the Kvarner bay city descend to the sea and the tourist resorts are located in the wonderful beaches. Most of them are: Opatija, Rabac Crikvenica - famous for its healing spas.
Dalmatia - The more on south the warmer it gets. Therefore, I recommend Dalmatia to who plan to spend time on the seafront getting rest and sun. The water here is also usually a bit warmer than in the area of Istria. However, indulging in sweet doing nothing on the beach do not forget that there is no shortage of beautiful places to visit. Must see Zadar - a beautiful old town, Sibenik - Cathedral of St. Jacob and of course Split and Diocletian's Palace. Of course, a number one of Dalmatia is Dubrovnik with an old town with its UNESCO world heritage site. See photos in the gallery, the views are beautiful! In the area of Sibenik is located Krka National Park, amazing place, much more beautiful than the Plitvice lakes. House or apartment can be rented all along the coast. Literally, one small town goes to the second here and places to rent there is so much that even in peak season you can come here "blind". In Dalmatia we can meet a lot more Polish people, Czech or Slovakia than in Istria. For those wishing to go diving in the Adriatic, Dalmatia would be a good choice. Makarska Riviera around and around the islands of Korcula, Hvar, Lastovo and Mljiet is probably the most beautiful places to dive in allover Croatia.
Winter in Croatia: Hvar covered by snow, On Peljesac noticed temperatures -15C. 3.2.2012
Cold continental air day after day is approaching ever closer to central and western Europe, and when he reached the Mediterranean, where it was much warmer, Italy over the cyclone formed as a reaction to the arrival of cold air masses. Flora lowThe first cyclone was called Flora and during Wednesday highlighted the impact on time in Dalmatia.Secondary cyclonic center was developing on south adriatic, and was blowing strong south wind, remind us of island of Palagruža to have recorded an incredible wave of 9 meters. At the same time at the foot the Velebit blew strong east wind.
Between these two directions perpendicular to the wind, on the greater part of the coast blew the Levant - the east wind.
Almost the entire day throughout most of northern and central Dalmatia was snowing.Prawie cały dzień w większości północnej i środkowej Dalmacji padał śnieg. In Zagora, the situation deteriorated with snow from minute to minute. Split and Sibenik they woke up with a blizzard with just -5 ° C and -6 ° C. The snow was literally buried Zabiokovlje and Imotski, and the Neretva Valley.
The first hours of Saturday in southern Dalmatia was thunderstorms, North of Sibenik was snowing and with the arrival of a little colder air, the rain turned into snow again in Split and was attacked the evening of historic 25cm of snow. It was demolished previous record high of January 1979.

What is naturism in fact
administrator
Naturism is a way of life in harmony with nature, its distinctive feature is the "common being naked and acceptance of your own body and others."Unfortunately, naturism is often regarded as a form of deviance and did not meet with tolerance and understanding in some countries. Fortunately Croatia is not one of these countries .As part of nudism is common to being naked, regardless of age and sex of individuals. This is obviously a cursory statement and describes this part of naturism that is most visible. The concept of naturism is much wider and its true meaning is the health of body and mind and to calm down and unite with nature. It seems that at the core of naturism atavisms are inherited from our ancestors (they usually do not used the clothes), so being naked is for many people something very natural. Something in us coming from our ancestors makes being naked seems natural. Of course not everyone feels the same way hence the frequent lack of understanding for such a lifestyle.
Where is naturism coming from
Organized naturism was established in Germany under the name Freikörperkultur what can be translated as (the culture of freedom of the body), hence the abbreviation FKK. If I am wrong with the translation, please correct me:). The first place for naturists was founded in 1903, Free-Light Park, the first club formed near Hamburg. Soon after this event appeared the publication of Heinrich Ungewitter'a Die Nacktheit (Nakedness), a utopia of life in the nude.
Naturist movement grew rapidly along with the vast network of clubs near large cities. Unfortunately in 1933 after Hitler came to his power, the activities of all organizations not associated with the National Socialist activity was banned. But the idea did not die and spread to other countries. Currently, naturists deportment operates in many countries around the world. Currently, this style is coming to the assumptions of vegetarianism. Its foundation is a non-alcohol drinking, no smoking, exercise gym and, of course, vegetarianism.
But let's not go in the extreme. Recreation nude beach on the Croatian FKK with a glass of cold beer is sure to be very pleasant. To feel naturist doesn’t need immediately give up the pleasures offered by smoking and can switch to vegetarianism :-). Unless someone wants. Being naked gives the possibility of full affirmation of one's body, allows you to stimulate personal development through self-acceptance. A sense of freedom that gives joy is what mostly we expect during the holidays :-)
Šibenik - a Royal City with a rich history, the central city of Šibenik-Knin region. The city lies on the bay to which affects river Krka. This bay was, and is a natural barrier for port security. Sibenik region was inhabited since long historic times, however, the first mention of a city located in the Code of King Kresimir IV is dated from 1066. The Code was found in a fortified castle church of St. Anna (formerly St. Michael) located in Šibenik.
Throughout its history the city was owned by many Empires and kings: Roman Empire, the Republic of Venice, King of Bosnia Stjeanov Tvrtko, Italy, Austria and France.
The most famous monument in Sibenik is the cathedral church of St. Jacob (Sveti Jakov) from fifteenth century. Cathedral is on the UNESCO World Heritage List. No less important are dominating the city, fortifications of St. Anna. In addition, the church dedicated to Saint Francis, the Church of the Holy Barbara or city hall building (built between 1532-1542)
And what besides monuments? Most in Šibenik is one of the most attractive places in the world for bungee jumping. Numerous restaurants and taverns serving homemade specialties (prosciutto ham, cheese, olives, lamb, seafood and wine). Međunarodni dječji festival - festival for children, Night of Sibenik - a festival of folk music.
Omiš - a beautiful town situated in Dalmatia, on both sides of the river Cetina. It is near to Split. Town developed at the foot of the hill Omiska Dinara, and is cut off by the north-west of the river and the south and south-east – by the sea.
The city was inhabited by the Roman Empire era, later in the medieval period it was rebuilt and became a fortification. The inhabitants of Omis are erstwhile pirates plundered ships in the Adriatic Sea. Particularly they gave life a misery to the Venetians plundering their land and attacking ships. Although the entire Dalmatia belonged to Venice, the Omis pirates were defeated in the fifteenth century only. Earlier, by four hundred years Venice could not subdue the town to themselves. The medieval fortified buildings largely survived to our times, for example: Tower (Peovia or Mirabela), Starigrad (Fortica), mountain Dinara Omiska of which top was controlled the Sea and the whole city Fortress Mirabela. Omis is a center for the region's characteristic narrow streets, with numerous shady squares and cafeterias. Extremely interesting is the house used as lodging during the traditional Dalmatian folk festival (Festival dalmatinskih klapa), and the Renaissance "Home of the Happy Man," so named because of the inscription on the facade: "I thank God for my presence in this world."
Makarska Riviera is one of the most beautiful and most visited tourist regions of the Adriatic coast. It is located in central Dalmatia, and the length of its coastline is more than 60km - from Brela in the west to the Gradac in the east. Highest peak in the Mediterranean Sea basin - St. George (1762m) adds charm to the area of mountain Biokovo. Land Riviera, which is obviously the center of Makarska, is full of picturesque places. In the north-west are such towns as Brela, Baska Voda, Promajna, Bratus and Krvavica, and south-east - Tucepi, Podgora, Drasnice, Igrane, Živogošće, Blato, Drvenik, Zaostrog and Gradac. Riviera is famous for its extraordinary beauty, rich culture and tradition, the blue sea, which lists among the most transparent in the entire Mediterranean basin, rocky beach, pine and olive trees, as well as a wide range of tourist offer. Markaska is a port city which forms the center of the Riviera with the same name. It lies at the foot of Mount Biokovo, in a huge bay limited south-east by the promontory Osejava and to the north-east by the peninsula of St. Peter. The city, surrounded by magnificent pine forests, is one of the most visited places on the Croatian coast, because it attracts tourists not only with the stunning nature, but also exceptionally mild climate and rich offers addressed to the guests.
If you have seen the majority of Croatian cities, attractions and spending your vacation in Dalmatia, take a day trip to the city Mostar in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The town is situated on the Neretva River, is famous for its beautiful old town. In the center there is showcase of Mostar - old bridge over the River Neretva which was built by the Turks in 1566 on the orders of Suleiman the Magnificent. The bridge has a span of 28 meters and rises 20 meters above the river flowing beneath it. The construction of the bridge is still breathtaking, and a few centuries ago, the impression which caused travelers visiting Mostar had to be even greater. The famous traveler Evliya Celebi wrote in the seventeenth century: "the bridge is like a rainbow, rising to the sky by combining one cliff to another. ... Me, the humble servant of Allah, traveled thru 16 countries, but nowhere have I seen such a high bridge. Passed from rock to rock as high as heaven. " Old buildings in Old Town is very different from what we can see on the Adriatic coast, you can see here the strong influence of Muslim culture.Recent history is very dramatic. During the fighting in 1992-1993, the city was severely damaged. Interested in history, I refer to the Wikipedia page where you can find more information about the fighting in Mostar. The city is a multiethnic, according to the census of 2003: 48% Croats, 47% Bosnians, Serbs 4%.There exist alongside Christianity and Islam.
Now, very important information for people with bad abolishing of heat. Climate of Mostar is a mixture of temperate Mediterranean climate and warm. The Summer is really hot here. Location of Mostar in the valley and 100 km from the sea makes the temperature oscillating around 40 ° C. This temperature in Mostar is a norm and also there is no breeze from the sea. I checked it the hardest way, by my own. During our visit in the car thermometer showed 44 ° C (Pictures in the gallery) and there was practically no wind.
